Best E-Liquid for OXVA: Nic Salt, Freebase and Strength
The right bottle for an OXVA is not the trendiest one. It is the one that wicks through the small pods these kits are built around.
OXVA pod kits are mouth-to-lung devices with small feed channels. That single fact decides your e-liquid: it has to be thin enough to wick reliably, which means 50/50 or nicotine salt, not thick high-VG shortfill.
50/50 and nic salts, not high-VG
A 70/30 high-VG liquid is too viscous for a 0.8 or 1.2 Ohm OXVA pod. It cannot wick fast enough, so the coil runs dry, scorches and tastes burnt, and thicker liquid also seeps past the seals. Stick to 50VG/50PG liquid or nicotine salts in almost every OXVA pod. The exception is the low-resistance 0.4 Ohm and VPRIME pods, which can take higher-VG liquid because they pass more power and pull liquid faster.
Nic salt vs freebase
Nicotine salt gives a smooth throat hit even at 20mg, which is why it suits the tight, high-strength MTL draw most OXVA users want. Freebase at 50/50 works too but feels harsher at the same strength, so it is usually vaped at lower nicotine. 10mg or 20mg?
- 20mg salt: for heavier ex-smokers and tight 1.2 Ohm pods. Strongest hit UK law allows, fewer puffs needed.
- 10mg salt: for lighter or all-day vapers, and for 0.8 and 0.6 Ohm pods where more vapour delivers more nicotine per puff.

UK strength and size
